Terms of Service

The rules for using Lymme.

Effective date: March 9, 2026. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Lymme website, join flows, hosted web app, mobile and installed PWA experiences, and related organizer, attendee, invite, RSVP, ticketing, and public event tools.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using Lymme, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Lymme is an event platform for the Black community. Depending on the feature, Lymme may let users join Lymme, authenticate with a supported social provider, create public event pages, invite guests, collect RSVPs, sell tickets, publish public Vibe Feed content, and access post-event archives and communications.

3. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use Lymme.
  • Host, collaborator, and identity-based account access may require social sign-in through Facebook, Google, Instagram, or X. We currently do not offer username and password login for those flows.
  • Guests may be able to RSVP, manage an invite, or buy tickets without creating a full account.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for activity that occurs through your account, linked provider, or guest access link.

4. Organizer responsibilities

  • Organizers are responsible for event descriptions, dates, locations, capacity, pricing, refund policies, permissions, legal compliance, and all promises made to guests.
  • Organizers are responsible for ensuring that they have the rights and permissions needed for event content, imagery, branding, venue use, ticketing, and attendee communications.
  • Using Lymme to collect RSVPs or tickets does not transfer organizer obligations to Lymme.

5. Guest use and invite flows

Lymme may allow invitees and attendees to RSVP, buy tickets, or manage participation through scoped links without creating an account. Those links are personal to the recipient and must not be abused, shared for impersonation, or used to access information you are not authorized to see.

6. Public event pages and user content

You retain ownership of content you submit to Lymme, but you give Lymme a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify for technical purposes, display, distribute, and otherwise use that content as needed to operate, improve, promote, and provide the service.

If you submit content to a public event page, public archive, or public Vibe Feed, you understand that the content may be visible to the public. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit that content and to grant the license above.

7. Acceptable use

  • You may not use Lymme for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, harassing, hateful, or abusive conduct.
  • You may not impersonate another person or organization or misrepresent your affiliation with an event or community.
  • You may not upload or distribute content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
  • You may not interfere with the service, bypass security, scrape the product at scale, or attempt to gain unauthorized access.
  • You may not use the service to transmit malware, spam, phishing content, or harmful code.

8. Payments, tickets, and fees

Some Lymme features may involve paid tickets, subscriptions, payouts, or other payment flows. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers, and additional terms from those providers may apply. Organizers remain responsible for taxes, fulfillment, refunds unless otherwise stated, and compliance with applicable event and consumer laws.

Any pricing or fee information shown on the service is subject to change. If a specific fee, plan, or refund rule applies to a transaction, the terms presented at the time of that transaction control.

9. Third-party services

Lymme integrates with or may rely on third-party services such as social login providers, payment processors, hosting providers, analytics vendors, messaging vendors, and infrastructure platforms. We are not responsible for third-party services, content, or terms, and your use of those services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.

10. Intellectual property

The Lymme service, including our branding, software, interface, design, and platform content other than user-submitted content, is owned by Lymme or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property and other laws. Except as these terms allow, you may not copy, reverse engineer, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the service.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, limit, or terminate access to Lymme if we believe you have violated these terms, created risk for the platform or other users, or if we otherwise need to protect the service, comply with law, or investigate misconduct.

12. Disclaimers

Lymme is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or fit for every use case, and we do not guarantee attendance, engagement, ticket sales, or event outcomes.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lymme and its affiliates, officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunity arising from or related to your use of the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of Lymme for any claim arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Lymme in the 12 months before the claim arose or one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).

14. Indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold harmless Lymme and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your content, your events, your misuse of the service, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version here and update the effective date. Your continued use of Lymme after the updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms.
